Born To Live

Born To Live

A Poem by Alicia Hirshey

Read Authors note

Morning glories
Open with love
Shading a land
Of shattering life
Play pretend
Give up your fight
Lay in the grass
Marked with
hate and regret
Or move along
Turn to face it
Give in to nothing
Don't except defeat
Follow me sweetheart
Feel the earth
between your feet.
Walk the mile
So many have walked
Find your comfort
The comfort you lost
Look at the beauty
That stiffens the air
Hide in the Glory
That brought you here.
