The Light

The Light

A Poem by Bec
"

The burning light represents the 'white light' that people say you see when you pass on, where as the darkness is life as we know it. Written this year for my grandma who died in 1996. I was only 6 at the time.

"

Stay away from the burning light

It will only bring you pain, so

Turn away from the burning sight

Even if you survive the plight

The heartache will cause much sorrow

Stay away from the burning light

Go willingly into the night

Let it drown you from head to toe

Turn away from the burning sight

The bright light is a place of fright

Where fear and sorrow spawn and grow

Stay away from the burning light

In darkness you can stand and fight

In the darkness you can lay low

Turn away from the burning sight

Safe in the darkness you sleep tight

Safe from the monsters you can’t know

Stay away from the burning light

Turn away from the burning sight

this is a vary interesting poem what realy pulls me is how most say death is better than life, but you turn that saying into your own which is what makes this poem so great
