Thunder..... an old friend ;)

Thunder..... an old friend ;)

A Story by Salar Majak

Today, just when i gave up on winter, it happened!
just when i gave up on hearing thunder this bloody year, it came!
Oh how it roared claiming the world as it's own, how the black clouds gathered and rain started pouring heavily piercing souls.
I'm pretty sure my friends were certain i was insane, for i stopped on my way to school in the middle of the street laughingly dancing! my earphones transported Chopin's ''Revolutionary"into my troubled. i was consumed with joy and my heart beat so loud it could have been mistaken for thunder itself.
After being pulled away from the rain by one of my friends and being looked at like a maniac, i laughed like a child, having greeted an old, true friend.

waiting for the next winter :)

.....as if heaven reclaimed the Earth once bestowed upon it by nature, by default; by the beauty that easily presents a most awesome show of its rawest form and it TAKES beauty to represent it so!! That beginning had me grinning and to "see" you with an open door to accept that impending roar to swallow you whole. You are so beautiful and magically naive to just how gorgeous you paint any poem or story you write with a childlike innocence that is far rarer than one would want to believe, selfishly. I, greedily, wish that such a roar came in the form of a most powerful hug to wrap you in as you are pleasantly overwhelmed by the sound of thunder filling your ears, tickling that skin of yours, pressing rain and lips agin your pair, Aurora!! xoxxo A friend of mine, a special friend that I secretly visit in many a beautiful dreams often, once sent me a hug in such a way through a most beautiful sight such as this. Oh, to call upon some conveniently crafted words to tell her so, and of how gorgeous her art and flesh spin around inside my mind with a casual ease, her friendship... the thunder... her timeless beauty from the very start... has kept me in an ageless sense of enjoying the thunder and the rain as you have on this day you mention. : ))) When it rains, where I live in the United States, I imagine that all the hugs saved for a soul like mine under this thunderous Heaven are finally coming to meet my lips, my tendency to want to play in it at a moment's notice, and send kisses back to where it has come from, a thousand times!!! What a beautiful story to share with me and all of us on here who Love You so much, Aurora!! Your last full sentence of your story was read and reread about 40 times before writing my "silly" comment that does not compare with how empowering, free, and important you are to me in this life of mine. I understand ME so much more because of YOU being here. : ) It is no mystery why I connect with you and/or are constantly aware of how awesome it would be to hug such a poetess in the rain..... under the SAME rain!! I Love You.... you are forever beautiful and Thank You for sharing a piece of you that is treasured more than my words are able to describe. xoxoxo -Your Mark

It's so simple yet so captivating. Your choice of themes and the content of your work is always a refreshing read and quite different in its own way. Keep it up!!

Nice piece. I love the imagery and the use of simple language gives it a sense of innocence that is an integral part of this wonderful story.

agreed. the simplicity (which seems to be a carrying theme throughout your works) is key.

Hello again.
I loved this.... surrounded by the terrible man-made Syrian storm as you are... the thunder and rain must be so natural. I loved your writing.... (Still can't cope with your lower case "i" for "I").
This sentence,
"my earphones transported Chopin's ''Revolutionary"into my troubled." did not make sense.

' Oh how it roared claiming the world as it's own, how the black clouds gathered and rain started pouring heavily piercing souls.' Great description.. claiming the world as its own!
When i was small our daddy told me that maybe, maybe thunder was the sound mischievous angels made when they slammed heaven's doors. I mean to say, how can anyone be scared when thinking about that! Maybe we're too busy watching our feet to realise that up there, high, hight, all sorts of things are going on .. thunder's just one of them .. it goes, it fades. Love your poem, would happily stand out with you, in spite of having had too much rain and storms over here last year!
