Ocean Floor

Ocean Floor

A Poem by Timewithoutgesture

Infliction of your self reflection held to me in the form of a dagger. Piercing home as a walk to a deserted island.

Screeching self doubt chains you to the bottom of the ocean. A stone to hold you in place as you hold your breath. You lose pigment in your face.

Held restlessly and cold, done not what was instructed nor what you were told. As if you knew better then I.

Cowardice will live for you as you die. Seldom and shallow hints of air. Live as if unaware of what's fair or unfair.
