Mind

Mind

A Poem by Miles Wilburn

The gutters drain the water and the excess from the mind
and the windows crack to release the pressure from my eyes

As you flow to each of the ever worn old rooms
Little parts of me become little parts of you
But..

The walk into the basement is the creepiest of all
Watch out for those cobwebs and that trick step or you'll fall
We pass all the skeletons and you barely blink an eye
and out the backdoor we go into the brightest light.
