LET HIM GO

LET HIM GO

A Poem by Betty Hermelee
"

Lies, deceit

"

LET HIM GO

My muse of the cosmos

sucks me out of the cradle

our skin, blue from fright

she purges his lies, deceit

tethers my broken spirit

through misty clouds

to a veiled pose

unable to trace me

I squint through broken shadows

to retrieve his face

she whispers his devilish ethos

treasure afresh, she mutters

if he deludes you, let him go

anytime!!! Appreciate your thoughts,
Best, B
A wise muse who knows
to just let him go..with
his devious and wicked
ways..a well written piece
with words of wisdom
so deeply expressed

Thanks so much Fran, much appreciated!
Best to you, B.
A very wise muse and a keeper at that. I would always listen to her words filled with truthful wisdom. I have mentioned my muse in the past. She resembles Cate Blanchett and has the biting wit of Betty Davis. I don't think she likes me so much as tolerates me. I feel she's a bit disenchanted with the fact she is stuck with an ignorant old man and not with a woman. In return I told her "Sucks to be you." I have since regretted ever saying those words to her. Excellent work as always B.
