Do for yourself before others

APPROVAL

 

I shall yield to your wants eternally

for we have a purpose

one that we trust will flourish

 

yet foremost I must take heed of myself

for self-love foretells kindness

and succor to others

like fresh air which floods my lungs

and radiant sun which warms my flesh

 

In need like the dark moist earth

that bestows blossoms upon me

I await the moon to approve

and the stars to applaud

until then my heart belongs to me

I really like this, Betty. To me I read into it a seriousness not always apparent, but this gives the feeling that the diction was chosen with care, that spurious flights were suppressed, and the poem treated as art. Well done.

Let me see what you want, you need the unconditional love for you, you mean you think you are not upto for getting that true and limitless love ❤️ from. You need one who loves you limitless.
I like the clear crisp lines, first time I learnt how to write poem in such beautiful description. I have been reading poetry by few it was like too complex and hiding the intent not too clear.
Your heart is very transparent so your mind that’s why write in that transparent way, anyone could flow with your dreams and intent.
I do agree self love. Easy for people if they accept their alter ego. But it’s not easy if that alter ego is good. For me I am good 😊 and kind and sacrifice everything even then I didn’t get beyond the love ❤️. Still there is a mistake of me, I don’t know does that matching matching attitude gives love or is it comparison, I need your sincere support may look bad on me nothing prevails permanent but our memories transfer in soul. So need your thoughts on my above words. May rectify few things. Wholeheartedly.
