Pain

Pain

A Poem by bianca

I feel like I am drowning in the ocean
And my screams can't be heard by anyone
The salty water invades my body like a river
And I let my eyes open for the last time
Just to see the sun shining above me,
Like a goddess.

It's so dark here, and the pain covers me
As a butterfly cocoon which leaves me breathless
As all the memories about you suffocate me,
My mind flowing between the words
You told me in the middle of the night,
When the moonlight was caressing my face,
And the sun yours.

I am here in the darkness you created,
But the voice which helped me to escape
Is now next to my body
Reaching for me every time I feel like
I can't control myself anymore.
The pain fades away from me,
When warm arms are around my waist,
And silence is now my beloved song.

Enjoyed as instructed, Neville :)

I learn to love the silence and now I don't remember the need of human contact. Maybe a deadly place to know. Dear Bianca. When we love the silence. What is left for us? Thank you for sharing your amazing words and your thoughts.

I agree dear Bianca. Quiet life leave us loving silence. But we do need some noise. You are welcome.
Lovely imagery, though a sad tale of pain, loss and the darkness seems to make that fade... memories of sad happenings, some regret but waters are soothing and silence is golden.
well done
Best, Betty

Descriptive write about suffering the effects of pain. A visual account which appears to be all encompassing. Often writing about such an emotion can help with the healing process. Thank you for sharing your work Amisha.
