Flamingo

A Poem by illiterate poet
"

I'm a mess

"
" I am free" supposedly
stuck in a world full of bigotry.
People claiming to be open minded,
but only listen to other blinded.
I fought and bled to change their ideas,
but they went and changed my name to rebel,
like I'm trying to overthrow constitution?
Maybe they think I belong in an institution.

They label me rebel
Like I'm responsible for wars,
but deep inside I just show my core
I want to be whole and not give
in to only what is fed.
My mind is hungry for opinions and knowldge,
not about the federal or world debt.

Humans and feelings
Understanding and helping those who lost their souls
It's needed
They label me a rebel
For being a renegade to my feelings,
for not understanding my core,
for not giving into society's roar.

They label me a Rebel,
as I speak from my heart like its a Bible
A Sunday class I am,
Trying to help people find their way
