Nothing compares

Nothing compares

A Poem by BikerAngie

Sitting in my big bay window
Looking out at my white picket fence
Lined with rose bushes

Lush green yard
With two cherry trees in full blossom

The distant mountain tops still have lingering snow

The sun sets just beyond the horizon

Pinks, oranges, reds, and purples
Blending blending with the blue skies

White and gray clouds fill in the blank places

The beauty surrounding this home of love
More fulfilling than the scenery

The children’s laughter fills the hallways
The smells of fresh baked cherry pies fill the rooms
Your cigar smoke drift and mingles in the air

All this beauty surrounds our lives
Yet none of it compares to the the love I fill for you

Firstly, let me say, great imagery here. I could really visualise all that you wrote. Secondly, a couple of pointers, if I may? "Your cigar smoke drift and mingles in the air" - to me would sound better with "Your cigar smoke drifts and mingles in the air" and you've written "Yet none of it compares to the love i fill for you" - should that be "feel for you" or did you actually mean "fill"?
Aside from that, I enjoyed reading it. It had a nice flow.

Oh. Nothing compares a dougnut to...a...sprinkled doughnut? I dunno. That sentence I just wrote...was cheezy. T3T
