Hello friend of mine
Forever did we spend time
Now when I look around
You are gone
You disappeared
Abandoned without a word
You have new people now
People that don't know you
Who could know you like i do?
Growing up and growing apart
How did it not happen
When we were a world apart?
Opposite ends we remained friends
Now so close just minutes away
Minutes seem like miles
Miles seem like hours
Time and distance have become the same

Hello friend
How are you without me?
All the days
All the nights
The laughs
The caffeine addictions
And random photo shoots
Where did it all go?
Gone like the rest
If i was ever needed I was there
For you
For them
For everyone
They disappeared
Like some friends do
But you?

Hello friend
It must have been my silly dream
A silly dream of a child
To expect anything from you
Expectation leads to disappointment
Disappointment leads to hurt
Still I don't understand
Maybe its not understandable
Maybe it doesn't make sense
Maybe none of it matters
Maybe nothing does
The feelings feel real
The hurt still hurts
Maybe the feelings are just thoughts
Just memories of a better time

wow...this is...simply beautiful. The last stanza showed the final seperation between the two. I loved this. It explains alot of what we go through losing people that are or are not our friends.

Sometimes we have to learn to realize that we have grown out of other people - and we have become better and learned from their mistakes. Letting go is a part of life, and it is good to see you are able to do and understand that.
