Like the Butterfly

Like the Butterfly

A Poem by WynterPhoenix

Cocooning into Wonderland,
a site known but never found.
A place where size matters,
but can easily be overlooked.
A friend around every corner
for even the wickedest crook.

I want to fly away to Wonderland.

Like the butterfly,
of a brilliant shade.
An enamorous hue
not often overused.
Butterfly take me with you.
We'll fly to a kingdom
not too far away
where even the Red Queen
cannot stray.
I want a brand new day,
just like the butterfly.

It's never too late,
the white rabbit
has changed the date.
All aboard the
Jabberwocky Express.
Chat with nature and
follow the Cheshire's grin.

I want to fly away to Wonderland.

Like the butterfly,
of a brilliant shade.
An enamorous hue
not often overused.
Butterfly take me with you.
We'll fly to a kingdom
not too far away
where even the Red Queen
cannot stray.
I want a brand new day,
just like the butterfly.

Wonderland isn't too far to dream.

The desire to get the f**k away from everything. It really is hard not to watch insects and animals with envy for their freedom and ignorance. Just existing for themselves without worry of bills, drama, and so on. Is it any wonder that humans commit suicide more than any other living thing?

A very good dream in the poem. Butterflies do symbol freedom and beauty. Would be nice to have. I like the hope and the story in the poem. I like the true ending.
"Wonderland isn't too far to dream."
Thank you for the excellent poetry.
