This Girl That I Once Knew

This Girl That I Once Knew

A Poem by Serenity Faith
"

I let you create your own interpretation ^_^

"
She plays in the shadow of the moon
This girl that I once knew
She sings the words of a butterfly
and cries the tears only angels cry

She swims in iridescent water
Not once does she ever falter
She carries her heart in hand
and believes that life is grand

She wears clothes of silver
From spring until December
She who knows no right
and somehow retains all light

She stirs clouds with wings
on hope and of her dreams
She worries none and few
This girl that I once knew

Oh, to be more like this girl that you once knew! She sounds amazing, just light and sunshine.

I know someone just like her.

I love the first paragraph. Those four lines are amazing. They capture this little shiny bubble of a person, like a small sun, an ideal. But it's also the way you play with phrases, for instance "she worries none and few".

Love the way my brain assumes she must be young, because an adult couldn't possibly be so carefree and clear.

beautifully written, touching and flows with a dreamy quality to ponder,
a reflection of life and desires, the form brings the words to whispered life

And would this little girl be the little you? Dreamlike, tender, loving, and to me a tribute to the inner child. Just my take. :)

She's still there...mine is. :)
Your imagery is a dream. I found this poem to be very lyrical.
I could hear it as a song.

Your description are so beautiful and your words, with them I imagine I'm floating in a sea of blue and silver, watching the girl while she flys. Lovely poem.
