Moon Sisters.

Dedicating this little poem/story of our friend ship to Ms. Kaylee Kannes. She is on writerscafe too. Her poems are sweet. Check her out. She's awesome.

It's something we carry close to our hearts,

Where we began, was shaky at the start.

5 years ago you were dating my brother,

you were my best friend, just under cover.

We didn't talk, didn't really like each other at that,

but to find out, we went way back.

We had the same dance class when we were just sprouts,

and come to realize, we are in the same girl scouts. 

Years went by and your brother was friends with my cousin,

we saw each other at a few birthday parties, not even a dozen. 

But in 8th grade, something just clicked

we became friends, we knew we would stick. 

Your my was my mom, my mom was yours.

we just needed time to let nature take it's course. 

We make each other laugh, only us think we're funny.

and we make our boy friends, run for their money. 

We went through a fight when we both started dating. 

It was clear to us both, that our friendship was fading. 

Too many people got involved,

and that's when of our friendship started to dissolve. 

Arguments increased, then talking decreased. 

forever I thought, our friend ship had deceased. 

6 months later, our head out of our a*s. 

a date to Denny's was something we couldn't pass. 

We shared a bacon shake, something only us would approve,

a nice long talk was well over due. 

With little hopes, we took things slow. 

but with days and weeks, our friend ship began to regrow. 

Like a garden in the spring, new flowers start to sprout,

cleansing and happiness is what it's about. 

We share a love, for the moon and the stars,

and little car rides, in ms.daisy duke, my car.

My moon sister, and my best friend.

there is no doubt, we're going to the end. 

A tattoo in the future, to represent us as true

we plan to get, the phases of the moon. 

Not everyone is lucky, to have this much

but if you find a true friend don't ever give them up.
