A moment to breathe may be too much to ask for.

A moment to breathe may be too much to ask for.

A Poem by BlankCypher

In the still moments of the night which pass without notice,
we are trapped by the very body that sustains us.
Experiences missed are seldom even noticed.
We are too busy ignoring life for our own enjoyment.
Oxymoronic by nature,
our lives revolve around this idea of imbalance.
Picturesque dawns spread across the blank canvas of the morning sky.
A mother pats her child on the head fondly and breathes a heavy sigh of relief.

It's very deep and powerful. Expressing more then just words.
Thank you for sharing...:)

very emotional, and deep i love how the title is connected to the last line of a mother sighing in relief

The words themselves are very beautiful and deep, but the last two lines don't seem to fit. I did enjoy the read though.

Very deep and thoughtful. This one really captured me, and it is so relatable I think to many people. The first and last stanzas in particular are very elegant, and I like how the final line links to the title. I needed to read something like this today. Keep up the good work!

the last line is very lovely and real, I wonder why she breathes a heavy sigh of relief
oxymoronic is a funny word, it reminds me of oxen

I love the idea of allowing myself not to be imbalanced, I mean balanced, I was first most taken with the line that we are trapped within the very body, oh no what are we doing being trapped in it!? I don't know ignore me, I have no idea

No problem!
This I like.
The first & last lines/stanzas are really something to think about. And in my opinion if it makes you think there's something great about it.
