A Broken Heart

A Broken Heart

A Poem by Corey Bowen

As the days goes by it gets harder and harder without you here,
For when you were here you were my golden child, those nights when i use to sing you love songs and gently rubb your hair,
Those nights I told you I love you before you laid your head next to mine, you where my everthing, you where the beating of my heart, my daily motivation, the love of my life,
Now I feel lost and confused like a abandon child, countless nights without sleep, laying next to where you laid your head brings tears to my eyes, pain to my heart, no meaning to life,
Wishing and hoping you will come back to me as I wait staring out the window holding on to something thats not there, but as I walk through life with an empty heart all im holding on to is memories of the past and a broken heart

It takes time for a broken heart to heal,
Faith can pull us through any situation.
I can feel your heart here. This is expressed so well.

I love the emotions you portray. If you fix up the grammar, it would be an outstanding poem. It is a really good one as it is. Keep up the good work!

This is such an emotional write and you made yourself so vulnerable. Aside from some grammar errors, I really like this poem and how you just let your emotions out. Well done!
