And This Is What He Told Me

And This Is What He Told Me

A Poem by Madelyn Defray
"

Because his words mean so much

"

He told me he loved me and I wasn't sure what to do

I took a couple of days, maybe one or two

I decided as final  that the best for it all

Would be to tell him everything before the fall

I professed my love, I professed my devotion

He turned away and he mocked my emotion

It goes without saying that when you let down your guard

The damn b*****d will tell you to put it on a hallmark card

This is exactly what he told you and I just needed to release my anger. It's nothing special but I'm just so torn at the moment. Comment if you will

I love the ending, Madelyn. There is nothing wrong with when writing in "the moment", and I think you pulled it off pretty well. Great job:)

I actually really liked this piece. It's simple, but strong. The rhyming pattern was broken in one line, but that's really all. The last line is just priceless, good work.

It was meant to be broken, but thank you very much for commenting. I'm glad you liked it

actually I take that back, there's a line that needs to be omitted. Thanks for pointing that out!

About
I hate filling in the giant 'about me' information boxes because there really isn't anything special worth mentioning which of course leads to a blank box followed by the re-thinking of the sad, pathe.. more..
