Silently

Silently

A Poem by Thief Lord Alex

Quietly she collapses,

Sobbing gently into her pillow

In muted frustration.

The world around her,

So cold and lifeless,

Forcing her to think of the boy

She's not allowed to have.

Faster her tears flow,

An endless waterfall of woe.

Her cries softening,

When her tears exhausted,

As she succumbs to sleep

Letting it wrap her in blessed silence.

Author's Note

Thief Lord Alex
alright, I just wrote this and when I re-read it I realized how...whiney it sounds. Not my best work but I needed to write something.

There isn't a single teenaged girl who doesn't know exactly how that feels, and let me tell you--I know how much it sucks. :( On a writing-related note: Well written, but you could dig a little deeper into how sad this person is. What happened, that sort of thing.
