UNSUNG ANGELS

UNSUNG ANGELS

A Poem by Maureen Mwaniki

I should write you a song

Play it on a harp

Or maybe even a drum

A guitar perhaps?

No! I’ll play it on a piano

Better yet a cello

Or I’ll make it smooth and sweet

On the strings of a violin

No! I’ll write you a song

Drum it in my heart

Hum it in my thoughts

Sweeter than a harp

A symphony for my soul

Pianos and cellos can’t match

And I’ll make it smooth and sweet

Played only in my hearts strings

This is too too beautiful babe! I pronounce this one of your most beautiful works on this site! I just absolutely loves the smooth flow and the tone of the poem. It progressed wonderfully and culminated in a sort of *sigh* ending stanza. I really liked this poem...very deep. Your lover would be awestruck xD

Wonderful way of reaching deeper into the organ of your imagination,
leaving behind wind woods and brass, plucking great!

A sort of hopeful poem. I like the desire and need to play music for someone. I like the many instruments and very good ending to the poem. Music can bring peace to the worst of situations. A excellent poem. I like it all.
