Frightened

Frightened

A Poem by BlueberryKisses

He is alone tonight.

Cold and frightened.

This isn't right.

She has another bruise to hide tonight.

Hurt and frightened.

This isn't right.

He is forced to work tonight.

Tired and frightened.

This isn't right.

She has to steal to survive tonight.

Hungry and frightened.

This isn't right.

But tonight you are far from these.

You are not alone or cold.

You are not abused or hurt.

You are not being forced to work or tired.

You are not stealing or hungry.

This isn't right.

That people are frightened.

Every night.

It pains me too, I like your social concern, I hope you find altruism, volutneerism and hope in a better future really awefully easily in your real life.

Write more about the down-trodden, I want to know more...

This one takes you to a dark place, giving you hints of what is happening, but at the same time still has you searching for answers. I'm picking up a abusive relationship involved. A mistreated lady. Starved for both love and food, she's left alone to deal with both her emotional and physical needs as well. Nice work Blueberry Kisses!
