Wish I was the breeze
Floating by
Gliding over land and sea
Free and easy
Seeing you there
I would kiss your face

Wish I was an Eagle
On warm golden air
An overlord of bronze
With all seeing eyes
I would swoop down
And take you to the clouds

Wish I was the ocean
With power all around
Ever fresh and surging
Forever at your shores
Trying to reach you and
Dying on your beaches

Great imagery B. Beautifully longing - love from a distance is so hard - we wish to be all things that might reach them so that we reach them.
The final line is heart-wrenching - I couldnt not think of D-Day - an invasion - willing to die for a greater cause.
