I loved you.

I loved you.

A Poem by Carmen L.
"

The hardest kind of love is unrequited love.

"

I love you.

I really tried not to

you didn’t want me to

you said you weren’t good enough

that you could never love me like you should.

I love you.

I said it so many times

that we both lost count

so many times that you couldn’t catch up

even when you realized you loved me.

I love you.

It happened too late for me

that return of a sentiment so sweet

a commitment of the soul

between us.

I loved you.

I knew I did

perhaps too much

and now all I have to show:

a few splinters of a once whole heart.

About
Sometimes words cannot describe how I feel. Love, hate and fear all jumbled in one. But when I can put my feelings into words, I do. I am not an accomplished writer and good pieces are few and fa.. more..
