CAN I TRUST YOU

CAN I TRUST YOU

A Poem by Bonnie Paige

How do I switch from a fan into a friend?
How can I trust that bright star blinking in my sky?
I confess, his voice is who I cried  with when my heart was broken. When life had no more reasons for ups and downs.

Is that sultry voice of songs that takes me to another land, truly there?
Penning, can I trust you, written with dear.

So many concert halls, I missed his viewing. Of fans he does call treasures one and all.

Had I been a dedicated follower I might have reached out my hand for him to touch.  Then I would know the stranger behind, "can I trust you, dear."
