shelved

shelved

A Poem by Dusty Hamilton
"

just one falling star against a backdrop of falling sky and an untold story

"

To be a piece amongst the jagged left

Thunderous upon the raging cleft

There amid ones not no deft

As thee. I sit up on the left

Debris falling me right and left

Toward the brink of brick + stone

These are virtues i have known

I stand still rotting w/ the sown

I sit or stand up here alone

To gather nightly at the throne

Make me something, take me home

Dont shelve the thought that i have shown

So little wasted, just here hone

The thought that last me is alone

Sharing nothing, not a bone

Not a trace of that face

Im effaced and not replaced

There are thoughts i could have shown.
