Days End

Days End

A Poem by Bradly
"

I wrote this last year for no apparent reason, I put my fingers on the keyboard, wanting to blog and then this came out. I've been wanting to write music for it so that it can be like a lullaby.

"

The sky is dark
And the moon is bright.
Your eyes grow heavy
As you wander into night.

Your head is filled
With the day gone by.
Your adventures are done
And now you must lie.

As you lay in bed
With your teddy in hand.
Your mind starts to wander
To a far away land.

Sleep little one,
I'll always be near.
Forever shall I protect you
From that which you fear.

Darkness will fall
But I will remain
To guide you, my love,
Through sunshine or rain.

And as your life moves by
You'll no longer need me.
You'll spread out your wings
And set yourself free.

But remember my child
As you live and grow
I'll love you forever
No matter where you go.

Good Night.

I think it would make a GREAT lullabye Bradly. I really like it, I was already trying to hum it in my head, if you find music to put to the lyrics PLEASE let me know I would really love to hear it. I think you truly have a "winner" here and need to find a way to get it "Published" or whatever you do with music... It has excellant flow and rhyme and such sweetness. WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL...;)
