Dilemma

Dilemma

A Poem by Darren Brown
"

"An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind." -Mahatma Gandhi My reaction to the atrocities of the Bosnian War depicted in The Land of Milk and Honey, realising my reaction was the dilemma of war

"
Saw a guerrilla drop a newborn
from the top of a twenty-story building.
Made me want to drive my thumbs into his temples
until I cracked and shattered his shell.

About
I use poetry as a means to come to a deeper understanding of myself, and the world that I'm a part of. So most of my work is a combination of introspective and extrospective, figuring out how I relate.. more..
