That Old Traditional Continuing Unnoticed Fatal Human Error

That Old Traditional Continuing Unnoticed Fatal Human Error

A Poem by Brett Hernan
"

Psychic pollution.

"

Ancient tribes
watching
campfire smoke,
vacuumed up
at the full Moon's
behest.

Sucked from
the night,
cave's void
sky,
by
those,
obedient,
peeped through,
star holes.

To be there,
absorbed,
in
to
a tangibly
invisible,
non-existence.

The unknown,
space around them.

There,
on the ground,
and back,
again.

Where the furthest
anyone had yet
to travel,

into
the unknown,

besieging
space,

surrounding them,

was only
as far
as anyone could
walk,

and successfully
return to tell

the others,

of that,
which yielded,
nothing

to explain,
as to,

where,
exactly,

they were.

Now we know everything but have learned nothing! At least our ancestors survived. Well done for a very eloquent and perceptive bit of writing.
Cheers,
Alan

I love the brevity of expression, but the question mark at the end threw me.
