Inconvenient Hours

Inconvenient Hours

A Story by Brittany

"I'm everything I'd hoped to be, at this point in my life." He'd said.

"I've gone everywhere I'd hoped to go, by this time in my life." She replied.

He wished he knew where she was at, at this point. While she wished she knew who he was, at this time.

Looking at each other now, they wonder if it's too late.

I would like to know why her line is in italics. Just curious. I like it. Makes you focus on it more.

I like this a lot, dear. I like how the first three lines all seem like something that was said over the phone or past letters sent to one another. And then, in the end, they see face-to-face and, as the reader, I'm hoping it's not the end for them. Then again, I could be biased.
