Gambling With Probability

A Story by Brittany

They stood in the kitchen, discussing Murphy's Law. "See," she said, "I'll butter this bread and let it fall. It will land, butter-side down. Bet you a hundred dollars." He squinted at her, as if trying to figure out if she was serious. "No, I believe you." He said, trying not to laugh. Still, she buttered a piece of bread. Then, holding it in front of his face for a few seconds, dramatically let it go. It hit the counter before landing on the floor, butter-side up. He suddenly realized Murphy must have been a real a*****e.

The title is amazing as well. Forgot to mention that. Your short pieces are definitely better than mine. Which makes me feel like a fraud all over again. And you're funnier than I am? B***h :)
