The dismal cacophony of what used to be 

Cannot surpass the present me

The changing of pronouns near a yellow bus

The loneliness of two I's transforming into us

Vanilla pudding on rainy spring days

Yet this aching feeling that never stays

The horrendous symphony of us being torn apart

Something I, sooner, expected to start

Since, for a reason I don't understand, you never leave

I continue to smile and never grieve

Against my will, seasons will change

But this warm feeling will always stay the same
