A Poem by BrynnaW.

Written after seeing a picture and interpreting it in a different angle but, unfortunately, I can't find it.

Your eyes may follow,

From my pain-filled eyes,

To the curves of my cheeks.

Your hands may touch,

From the caverns of my neck,

To my sorrowful breast.

Your words may batter and bruise,

Cause my knees to tremble,

And my wrists to rise.

You hear my desperate cries,

Pleas for you to stop,

My shaking voice, my trembling lips.

What you don’t see is who I am.

Who I was.

I fade away with each day,

Waiting for a blissful end.

I have but a breath left,

Listen now, listen please.

Chin down, eyes closed,

Behind these lips,

Lies a strong, struggling soul.

Waiting, hoping.

I’m fading away.
