Loneliness

Loneliness

A Poem by O Bubbly_snowflake *

Loneliness is long.
Long and dark.
Dark with tears.
Tears forgotten,
forgotten how many.
Many days gone by,
Gone by without a glance.
A glance of life,
Life you filled.
Filled with happiness.
Happiness I crave.
Crave you by me.
Me...the word stands alone.
Alone so cold,
Cold and still.
Still waiting for you.
You may never come.
Come back here.
Here I wait.
Wait in loneliness.
Loneliness is long,
Long and dark.

Bubbly I have to say, while your write does not follow the rules of a Serpentine form exactly, I really like your creative take on this!

"Me...the word stands alone."

Love how well this fits on its own and especially within the context of the poem. Using the opening lines as the closing lines also works well in cementing the mood you're creating.
