The Story of the Stars.

The battle that gave us the stars.

One day a battle, broke out in our skies

Violence and weakness, bled from the clouds

The fate of the world, rested in unlikely hands

 

Warriors fell, and one by one, the angels lost their hope

Their swords were no match, for the evil of the demons

And at the edge of Heaven, the Lord began to cry

 

Worried for his people, heart full of despair

Could this be the end, of the world he had created?

But as his tears dried, he chose to help his people

 

A thought then entered, his skillful mind

“I’ll give them hope” became his answer

“I’ll answer their every, humble prayer.”

 

So with a smile, he reached inside his chest

He pulled out his heart, and shattered his soul

Created the stars, that outline the night

 

He sprinkled the pieces, down to our galaxy

The warriors took notice, of God’s light

And once again the angels, began to fight

 

The battle was won, that perfect day

Although the answers, are lost among those stars

Belief still lurks, inside every heart

 

When you are lost, turn towards the heavens

God’s heart, God’s soul, will lead you home

And never will leave you, forgotten or alone

 

For God so loved the world

He gave the stars, to you and me

A reminder that hope, can truly be
