The Goddess of the Sea.

The Goddess of the Sea.

A Poem by Bullet Soul
"

A poem about two people who battle the seas of love, and of death, for each other.

"

She grabs my hand, as she drags me closer

This is the darkest, part of my dreams

She loves the adrenaline, the best kind of rush

But I’d rather stand back, and watch her fall

She screams as she jumps, to her fate

The dark waters dancing, beneath our feet

Spreads out her arms, just like an angel

Loses control, as she falls below

I stare off the edge, fear like a knife

That punctures my heart, as soon as she’s gone

The ocean is dark, when the skies are black

As I stand and wait, to see her rise

One minute passes, two and then three

As my heart races faster, silently beating

Then I make the choice, to risk the fall

To save the girl, beneath the surface

The jump is a nightmare, a dangerous fall

Breathing is difficult, in the coldest of air

But all I can think of, is the doom that waits below

As fighting the tide, she longs for one more breath

I find her hands, as I hit the surface

I battle the waves, in the ocean of love

To save the angel, who’s lost her wings

In the tides of demon tears

Barely breathing, as I drag her to land

Her face as pale, as the moon above

Her hand in mine, is all I can sense

As I push down hard, on a silent chest

Death’s tears stretch down, my dripping cheeks

How can you save, a fallen angel?

The water brings doom, that invades the lungs

Of an innocent lover, with beautiful wings

Still a silent chest, beneath a powerless hand

As her breath faded, I lost my dreams

And with a cry, I lower my head

To rest in her lifeless, empty arms

Her death was silent, but pain was loud

As it drummed in my ears, and clouded my mind

Imagine my life, without my angel

What can it be, but the darkest of dreams?

Then suddenly, movement from her heart

She lifts her head, and coughs up her death

Raising her eyes, to meet my own

As I see my angel, regain her life

She sits straight up, and wraps her arms

Around the body, that saved her life

The kiss on her lips, tastes sweet in my mouth

As a new flame flickers, in her haunted eyes

Two lovers whose romance, rests in the water

Their new found beauty, in a dangerous risk

As they fight the waves, to find the meaning

Of a romance so bright, all the colors of love

Softly she stands, to spread out those wings

That enchant my heart, with every touch

And with a leap, she’s back on the edge

Of a love that we know, must never end

With a smile, so wide on her lips

She takes a breath, with her hand in mine

She drags me to the edge, as we glance below

Then closing our eyes… we make the jump, once again
