Great Grey Skies

Great Grey Skies

A Poem by Chandler Oswin

Heavy sighs, weary eyes,

I used to hide in broken lies,

But selfishness that took its toll

Instead showed me to heal my soul.

Sometimes on the darkest day,

When all my love feels far away,

I know above the sun still shines,

Streaming through the great grey skies.

As for regrets? I have none.

Without mistakes, I'd be undone.

Very spiritual and nicely rhymed. It shows the necessity of moving beyond the ego.
