Strawberry Skyline

Strawberry Skyline

A Poem by William B. Burkholder

The event horizon
of strawberry skyline,

Another day calls my name,
the morning breeze
wakens me,

Beginnings

To higher possibilities.
Buildings and towers
wrestle from slumber,

The din of traffic rises.

The blessings, and the wealth
of society come to mind...

That I may embibe in this experience
is but another joy.

Beautiful imagery...wow...I love the idea of a "strawberry skyline". It's amazing how a new day can make all things fresh and new again; can actually create possibilities that seemed unavailable only a few hours before. This was a pleasure to read.
