Moving On

Moving On

A Poem by Burlesque

Just turn around, we are all stuck in this real fake world, and every day I seem to fade away, only you can save me now, it’s impossible to do; my life is a fantasy, but also a reality. I have no where to run, millions of places to hide, if you don’t find me, I might die. This black hole’s closing in, my river of tears is drowning me, and I don’t know how to swim. So as my eyes shut tight, I think of everything that went right. All the good times, they never go away. I remember all the summers by the pond like it was yesterday. And when the class bell rings, I open my eyes, and see it was just a dream, and I am still alive. There is a smile on my face, bold and true, and I know I can do it, with or without you.
