Maybe This Time

Are we happy, is this a change,

It’s something different this time.

Always fighting, to prove you right,

And I won’t slow down this time.

Take the day to lose your mind,

See if it finds its way back again.

 

Something’s different, this is new,

The worlds always changing,

But I thought you knew.

I thought a lot, the most about you,

But don’t worry, I’m coming.

 

Don’t let go, please don’t let go,

Take my hand, I’ll pull you up,

And time will stop, so what’s the rush,

Please try to trust, that this will be different.

 

Maybe this time, you’ll change your mind,

Maybe this time, I’ll change mine.

No one can stop what will always happen,

We’ll never listen to what they say,

It’s easier this way, maybe it’s easier this way.

Yeah I'm terrible at punctuation. I tend to just write and disregard it for the most part.

I like the poem a great deal. It has a good flow and a beat to it... but only if I stick in my own punctuation. That would be the only down side to this work. A little attention to punctuating it would bring it up that notch to make it terrific. Drop a line if you need a hand. Beyond a couple of points, brilliant work.
