Let your senses be betrayed

As you enter in this masquerade,

Hiding behind a glittering mask

Holding all your secrets closely near.

 

Hide in the darkness,

Absorbing all the wickedness,

Of your soul mixing and churning

Mashing together against your wounds.

 

So full of lustful desire,

Taunted by your shadows

Holding close the extasy of it all

Like in a sweet lover's embrace.

 

Let the music heal your soul,

Dancing sweetly to every sad song

Haunted memories playing in your ears,

Look deep within yourself, and fly.

our minds have closets full of masks, sometimes we need one sometimes we dont..

instant darkness, at our beck and call

This poem's message is very close to the message of my poem I posted today. I almost used the mask analogy. I very much love the imagery in this piece. The line: "dancing sweetly to every sad song." is a marvelous addition. Another great work from you. I love the progression of your work sometimes. You seem to go from step to step very seamlessly.
