Written In The Stars

Written In The Stars

A Poem by *~*Butterfly Kisses*~*

I have been reminsicing in the nights,

Memories of you and I

Where we danced along the lake

'Neath a moonlit diamond sky.

You sprinkled me in roses

And kisses with 'I love you's"

Burying candles in the sand

As they glowed for you and I.

We waltzed to our own love song

Even the leaves on the trees swayed

To the music in the soft gentle

Breezes of that beautiful night.

Romance was in the air,

And our love was written within

The stars as they shined brightly for us

You convinced me, this love is eternal.

a sweet reminiscence. With everything but the final verb in the past tense, it could be the story of the start of a current relationship, or the hopeful beginning of a relationship that has since ended. I think the slight ambiguity broadens the appeal.

Another exquisite melody of what should sound cliche, but doesn't from your mouth! How do you do it Anna Rose? The stars, they are on your side.

A wonderful poem about love cherished and missed. The flow was like mercury in one's hand and I loved the imagery as well; especially the candles burning in the sand. Good poem. please keep it up.

Thank you for the beautiful poem of love. Even a distance love allow us to know we have touched paradise for a moment. I wouldn't want to lose one memory of the sweet hello's and the too many goodbyes. I like the last lines.
"The stars as they shined brightly for us
You convinced me, this love is eternal."
Thank you for the amazing poem.
