I Made It

I Made It

A Poem by Broken Hearted Faux

Honey bugs and katydids

Dance around my room

I scoop each into my hands

But they leave me all too soon.

Abandoned in the darkness

Trapped in the abyss

Alone in the world

Wondering if I'll ever be missed

Snuggled with my kitten

Lying on my bed

Wishing of a day

I never felt so dead

Wanting a real smile

Not a face behind a mask

Just for one little day

That's all I ask

God bring me love

God give me smiles

So one day I can say

I made it through all the miles
