This Table

A Poem by Chris C.
"

Wrote this on a table at a bar

"
A rudimentary physical thing.
Put together by the hands of men.
Brought to life by community.
Given meaning by the will of a group.
It sits here, a gathering place for the scattered masses.
"Come, gather and and exchange the collective memory of a people who seek companionship."

Nice thoughts!!! A charming little write on a table used by so many different types of people. Sure they can "gather and exchange the collective memory of a people who seek companionship."

You snowball the craftwork of hands into an awesome metaphysical object. There is something of the universalising touch of Plato's forms here -- a physical world where something spiritual is always only a concept away.
