Time is Running Out

Time is Running Out

A Poem by Cherry
"

Moments are limited, enjoy each and every one.

"
Think of all the timepieces
telling us what's what.
Hurry up!
Slow down!
Wait!
Hourglasses counting down every grain of sand,
like the desert in a glass cocoon
a sandstorm coating the seconds
we so carelessly fritter away.
Time
a precious thing.
So fragile
we
can't
keep
the shadow on the sundial.
Come back to me yesterday,
I'm sorry I didn't say goodbye.
Come back.
Please...

The cynic may say time is running out from the day you're born.
But time is really yours for the taking. Make it last.

What an elegant ode to time... my favourite line was
Come back to me yesterday.
Ah, if only! :):)

Thoroughly enjoyed this read!
