Moonshine

Moonshine

A Poem by Decdreams87

Glistening upon the lake Like a glass face
Mirroring an image that the surface cannot take.
She shines amongst us, the dark and the fake,
Accentuating beauty with a sparkle that cannot be replaced.
An intoxicating sight to see;
A moment of ecstasy.
The moon shines with excessive haste
And we do not deserve her grace.
She is not safe in this self destructive place
Though I hope she never fades away.
