Grades & Their Rights and Duties

Grades & Their Rights and Duties

A Chapter by Celeste Lucy Zaveri

Here are the rights and responsibilities of all the grades!

"

Do eleven months of studying Culta, darling. You’ll move up a grade each month if you learn at least one thing a day. If you stick to that plan, which happens to most Cultans, then here’s what you’re PROBABLY going through, but everybody’s different:

1: Unfortunately, you’re Grade One. Thank Goddess you aren’t any less that you aren’t even a Grade! :) But that’s okay, because you’ve got Goddess-given potential in you, and one month of extra studying Culta/Cultanism (same thing, take your pick) will get you to Grade Two! Plus, a First Grader Cultan doesn’t get the responsibilities that a Tenth Grader Cultan or a Summa Cultan gets. You’ve got freedom to learn and play, and not be judged for it. Plus, you’re still powerful…just learn to unlock your powers when they’re needed! ‘Day will end when Night is our friend.’ Cultan saying.

2: You’re Grade Two. That may not be Summa, but at least you’re aren’t Grade One. You’ve come a long way. You’ve just hit a spiritual milestone, and you should be extremely proud of yourself, OK? Celebrate and pray to Nyx for more talents regarding magick! Try one month of extra studying Culta, and then come back and I bet you’ll finally be Grade Three. Another milestone you hit…more celebrations! Remember, you’ve got powers to increase your Cultan knowledge even more, and there are no limits. You’ve done a good job, so don’t feel like you’re not good enough. Just know you can always do even better than you’re already doing, even though you’re doing so great that being better is hard to imagine! Remember the saying, ‘Day will end when Night is our friend.’ That means no matter what you’re going through, the good parts will one day come!

3: You’re Grade Three. That may not be Summa, but at least you’re aren’t Grade Two. You’ve come a long way. You’ve just hit a spiritual milestone, and you should be extremely proud of yourself, OK? Celebrate and pray to Nyx for more talents regarding magick! Try one month of extra studying Culta, and then come back and I bet you’ll finally be Grade Four. Remember the saying, ‘Day will end when Night is our friend.’ I told you that when you were a Second Grader…I mean, if you tried the quiz while being one, of course. That means no matter what you’re going through, the good parts will one day come!

4: You’re Grade Four. Sorry, I don’t have much to say but, ‘Day will end when Night is our friend,’ plus ‘Congrats, you’ve hit a milestone and celebrate with Nyx!’ But other than that, what’s there to stay? Do an extra month to keep up the good work, and you’ve done a grand job.

5: You are Grade Five, and just five more grades, then you can be a High Priestess. Or, of course, six more grades and you’re a SUPER PERFECT HIGH PRIESTESS! (Or priest, depending on the person’s gender.)

Every month, celebrate with Nyx that you’re getting closer!

If you’re tenth grade, you get the following responsibilities, duties, and rights. Your good points and bad points show, but not everything’s what it is cracked up to be:

·        You must try your best to do extra studying, devote every spare moment to studying more to become a Summa.

·        You can become a High Priestess or High Priest right now, and any of your enemies that are Grade One are nine grades younger than you. Yeah, we don’t count age, but grade.

·        Make sure you completely choose your origins/cultures/nationalities/races and choose who you call a “sibling,” “aunt,” “cousin,” “uncle,” etc. without doubting your choices. Don’t be scared to change up, but remember that it’s your choice.

·        Have a familiar. It can be a real one or a statue or even a stuffed animal! You’re choice, as will be many things for a Cultan and a Tenth Grader Witch.

·        You must connect with Nyx, Goddess of Night, much more often. And if you have a different patron goddess, do both of them, and don’t forget a god. Extra deity worship (especially Nyx) can be counted as a duty or a special right, depending on the person’s willingness.

·        You must be prepared to answer questions, give spell, potion, and ritual recipes as well as Cultan advice to those who are grades below you. A ninth grade person may seek your help. A newbie Tenth Grader could be seeking your help, too. Don’t judge by gender, race, age, or grade. Just answer the question, and don’t do something Nyx (or I) wouldn’t do.

·        You are expected to act wise and mature, not vain and rude. Don’t brag, and remember that both black and white magick is sacred, and respect the Witches of either. Don’t discriminate based on magick “color,” even though there isn’t any colors separating the magick types. Remember, “black” and “white” convey different connotations for everyone.

If you’re a Summa witch, you get the same rights, responsibilities, and duties of a Tenth Grader, but you also get even more:

·        You must try your best to do extra studying, devote every spare moment to studying more. Even as a Summa, you’ve got more work to do and you most certainly can’t stop now!

·        You can become a High Priestess or High Priest right now, if you didn’t as a Tenth Grader. Of course, you don’t have to. Right/duty here!

You’re choice, as will be many things for a Cultan and a Summa Witch.

·        Be mature.

·        You must connect with Nyx, Goddess of Night, much more often. And if you have a different patron goddess, do both of them, and don’t forget a god. Extra deity worship (especially Nyx) can be counted as a duty or a special right, depending on the person’s willingness.

·        You must be prepared to answer questions, give spell, potion, and ritual recipes as well as Cultan advice to those who are grades below you, or even your grade. No matter what age, race, religion, or grade, just help and give advice that Nyx would have given. Well done, then, dearie!

·        Celebrate your milestone at becoming a Summa, but this isn’t a duty as much as it is a right, a right anybody’d choose to celebrate willingly, openly, and happily!

·        Take pride in your chosen religions, cultures, families, etc.

·        Choose a Cultan name if you haven’t already.
