Disguises

Disguises

A Poem by Chenin Marie

They call me the chameleon, I’ll be just what you want.

Once I find your weakness, I’ll hypnotize you with lust.

I can be a boa constrictor, suffocating my prey.

I’ll breathe in your breath until your insides start to fray.

They say I’m the black widow, I’ll entangle you in my web.

I’ll feed off of your feelings after a night in my bed.

I can be a venomous serpent, a few drops could kill.

Instead I’ll just rattle and have you at my will.

I am just a woman, who hasn't found her match.

So I’ll continue to drain all the victims I catch.

I wonder what will happen when you do find your match.

I love the idea of this poem. The biggest suggestion I would make on it would be to reconsider some of the consistency between what is rhymed and what is not. It felt slightly askew in some places. Thanks for sharing :)

Wow, that's one powerful poem. From what I see of your picture, I'm sure most men would surrender happily. :)
