Blinded

Blinded

A Poem by Christa Raelyn

Once upon a time, I clung onto every word he ever said.
But when I took off the 2nd blind fold, I realized the signs I carelessly misread.

It was then too late
Trust the timing for you can't change or alter your chosen fate.

Tounges that hiss and speak to deciet.
Behind hypnotizing eyes, the most chaotic demons reside.
Hiding -just waiting to be set free.

We lived happily ever after. The devil and me.

You can never truly know anyone for they will always hide things from you, and most of it is valuable information. There's a reason I avoid people like the plague. To me, loneliness isn't lonely. It's freedom. The freedom of not having to conform to anyone else's impossible standards. People will mold you into their shape if you allow them to. I don't.

As for altering fate, no one can change their fate. Our stories are written for us before we ever begin. We're just following the life script that's been prepared for us. We can change nothing, influence no one, and cannot add one inkling or iota to our own lives. But I guess there's no harm in trying...
