Loosing Gravity-FLY

Loosing Gravity-FLY

A Story by Laconic Meraki
"

FLY- FIRST LOVE YOURSELF. You have a CHOICE. Fight or Flight.

"
Hello darlin', it seems you have a broken wing.
Out of the clear sky, you fell with grace just beyond my feet.

With patience comes the mending of all things.
Broken hearts- yes broken wings.
Timing is EVERYTHING.
You will heal with the ability to fly again -if that is what you wish to do.
You have a place in this world.
It's up to you to find your purpose my girl.

Wide open spaces so blue, oh the places you flew.
In trees, you'd sleep safe and sound.
Aware of the night crawlers and unseen scenes that haunt our towns.

Pain has a way of rearranging the mind.
Right brain , left brain.
It affects you however you allow it to.
Will you keep an eye on the sky once again or will you choose a new view ?

Take a deep breath and think your options through.
Take your time, Take your time baby I'll be here when you decide
Be a light, a light in the moonlight.
Just know I'll be waiting ,waiting for you to
decide.
FLY-FIRST LOVE YOURSELF.'

I loved the above lines. Had the feel of a song my dear friend. I enjoyed your work tonight and I hope you are doing well and you are enjoying the days of Summer.

Thank you.. And yes choices and timing is everything.
This poem , to me, is about self love, healing and patience in life. Pain isn't all that bad, "it has a way of re-arranging the mind"....Some take risks, others don't, but find a purpose in life and you will be be fine. Lots of lovely images, and and a good flow to the poem. Very Nice! Betty

Wow, the was magnificent. The way you softly speak without a sense of rush and with a knowing. You direct with compassion. The poem is an engaging story that ultimately spoke from a place of strength. Brilliantly done.

Thank you for reading and your positive words. ❤
Hmm, this isn't just writing, it's directing, composing, limning, and it's so very well explained and expressed. You have imagery, feeling, deep sentiment, story structure, and it's all penned poetically. I enjoyed reading this. Keep up the good work! tyfs

You have a purpose in this world. Everyone does. Some people are able to find that purpose on their own. Some people need help to discover it. Some people find it after bad things happen to them. What's important is that people don't lose sight of what it is they work on or desire. Hurt can sometimes divide someone's attention.
You mention hurt in the first paragraph. Did they break the wing when they fell or was it a result of the fall? And they just happened to fall right in front of you. Serendipitous. Timing is indeed everything.
When it comes to all things, patience is key. You don't want to rush things. It's easy to want time to pass quickly so broken bones or hearts can mend. People think there is a way to cheat around that and speed up the process. They can't. but when they do, they will be able to fly again. It seems like you wouldn't want them to fly away but if they wanted to, they would be able to eventually. Patience, patience, patience. Must she? Mustn't she? Only she can figure that out. When she was healthy enough to fly, she was able to see everything when she soared. She would sleep in the trees where she was safe. Does she still feel safe after falling? Her mind is rearranged, alright. Pain and accidents will do that to you. This is where mental fortitude comes in. Keep her sights on what she originally aimed for or choose that new view?
Nice ending. You're not rushing her. You're not forcing her. You're just letting her know you'll be there when she is ready with her decision. Just remember to look out for yourself first. You can't help other people if you aren't healthy. This whole thing is gentle nudging. Supportive. Showing her love and reminding her to love herself.

"First Fly love yourself". Brilliant dear.
My fav part " Pain has a way of rearranging the mind.... will you choose a new view? "
Reminds me of Dumbledore's quote from harry potter....it's our choices far more than the abilities that tell us who we are. An explicit message of self-love, who will not fancy it. Sending you love.

Thank you. 💞
Sending love back.
This message makes me want to give you (((HUGS)))!!! I love how you write this in such an open-ended way, making suggestions, but not telling a person how to live, & also respectfully acknowledging other people's right to choose. This is sorely lacking in today's discourse & it's got me plenty steamed up. We can express our views without it being an inherent slamdunk of anyone doing it differently. There are many ways to peel an orange. I'm sick of people laying it out like they know every inch of the way. We never know & there are always uncertain twists & turns. I love how your message allows for this, even prepares for it. I love that you don't paint this like "the answer" or like "it's easy!" This is just a map to point others toward a direction that has shown promise. That's all we can do. We can't live other people's lives for them! (Pardon my rant - it's a sign of a great poem!) Fondly, Margie

Life is indeed all about choices and risks associated with both the taking or the avoiding of making those choices .... Not all risk is a bad thing .. its just that most people see it that way ... Positive risk taking can be a rewarding and liberating thing ... by and large I like these words my friend ...
