Rays of Light-Candle of Hope

Rays of Light-Candle of Hope

A Poem by Laconic Meraki
"

Fill yourself with light. Even in the darkness.

"
                         Daylight
Her glowing aura illuminates the  atmosphere with a sense of hope.
Words fill the air with radiant rays of light,
as she harmonizes a melody.
She walks the path, serenading nearby birds, buzzing bees, and everlasting trees.

                     Dark Night
As the color of darkness gains control of the sky, an intense magnetic force pulls her into the cloudless night.
Almost in a trance, she walks the familiar path beneath countless twinkling stars.
She's not unaware of being surrounded by "creatures of the night".
Alert and aware of dancing shadows, voices and echos of the lost ...

"Though she may wander, drawn to the absence of light- it will not gain control of her soul or her life.
As she chants her words of love and light into the midnight sky, she lights a candle.
Before the sun rises again- she reminds those who are listening:
'not all those who wander are lost' "

"Words filled with radiant rays of light".... you show us the path toward hope and the future, and even in darkness one can still see the light, the road toward happiness, not pain. In of one's the absence of light, one can still keep control of one's soul.
Well done.

I did like the above lines. I agree. Those who wander. Sometime are not lost, just seeking more. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

Yes. Or maybe seeking clarity while wandering.

This really drew me in - I pictured a woman who is very used to living in and amongst nature, almost blending into her surroundings and finding amazing strength and power in the created world she is absorbed in - your last line is perfect and so true... those who wander (with their hearts open) are not lost - they are the ones who see what others fail to see... Really beautiful!

Thank you Carolynn. Yes. What you pictured is what I was trying to paint . Well, pretty close.
This is a graceful, hopeful & realistic poem, tho written in a fantastical way. I aspire to be the kind of person who spreads mostly lighthearted feelings, altho I'm sorely lacking many times. I feel that making friends with the darkness is a big part of shining an honest light -- nobody likes a relentless rah! rah! cheerleader, but rather, a light that's authentic & based on everything dark we must contend with. This makes your message very intelligent to me (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

God this is really good and the way you concluded is just brilliant girl.
Life's not about waiting for the storm to pass but learning to dance in the rain.
Best Wishes, keep on spreading hope. Love.

I appreciate it . Thank you for reading.😊
Indeed a parable to consider as we all need to garner our defenses against those night beings who haunt of souls. Nicely described and quite sinister!
