Things I could stare at forever

Things I could stare at forever

Things I could stare at forever
1. a clear night sky, millions of pinpoints of light against the pitch,
the chill of the night wind, the stars are falling on our faces, collapsing and cradling
I look up to the infinite wonders
2. the soft ripples of a stagnant lake, the perfect reflection of dawn,
colors i have no names for, swishing and swaying in the looking glass.
3. your eyes, flecks of emerald, halos of gold surrounding your pupils
the cool shower water drips down your cheekbones and i touch your pale cheek
the water pools in your mouth and drizzles off the corners of your delicate lips.
4. your eyebrows knitted together, your lips slightly ajar, your porcelain teeth dig indents
in your bottom lip, a breathy moan escapes your lips, the orange street lamp from your apartment
window layers across your face, skewing your body into a work of art similar to a Picasso painting,
but more lovely and more passionate than any earthly canvas.
5. the world shifting by in a quickly moving vehicle down the interstate, the clouds over head
the small town shops, the people whose lives carry on without knowledge of you, sitting in the passenger seat
silently judging (or appreciating) their fashion choices.
feet are up on the dashboard, and the radio is playing the same song, the sunlight feels amazing.
6. its 6 p.m we are walking down the road, my breathe is visible, and my hand is in your pocket
i look at the waning moon, and then to you.
you whisper "i love you", and i see it solidified in the winter air.
the billows of white escape my lips.
I stop and untangle our fingers, i touch your face, i look into your eyes.
i look at this moment, i look at our lives.
i look at the future.
And i make a single wish
Then I lean and kiss your lips
"I love you too"

That is so pretty. Anyone who writes like this is sure to find a girlfriend or a boyfriend, or one would hope. Though not all people can write this type of love to each other showing their affections in various other ways. This is a lot of work, took some great amount concentration at the time I'd conjecture.

beautiful, and exactly what I needed to read today, these sentiments perhaps written 9 years ago were always going to be eternal
